Our commitment to Quality and Equality 

In March 2025, Lewes District Citizens Advice successfully renewed our Advice Quality Standard (AQS) accreditations in Advice, Welfare Rights Casework, and Disability Casework.


This quality mark, awarded by the Advice Services Alliance, recognises that we deliver advice to a professional standard — ensuring our services are high-quality, consistent and accessible to everyone in our community.The addition of the Disability Casework accreditation highlights our team’s expertise in supporting clients with disability-related issues and reflects our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of local people.

We’re also proud to be a signatory of the East Sussex VCSE Alliance Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Charter.
This demonstrates our ongoing dedication to improving access, inclusion and fairness for everyone involved with Lewes District Citizens Advice — including our clients, volunteers, staff, trustees and partners.

Our Impact 

We are proud of the things we've accomplished and thankful for the generosity of our supporters and community. Here's a look at the impact we've made in the last year. 

 

Taking into account the immense value of our volunteer hours, professional expertise and income gains achieved for clients, every £1 invested in LDCA delivers £19.70 in public value, a further £10.13 to the people we help, and £2.69 in fiscal value to the wider economy.

2293 People

Last year, we helped 2,293 people across Lewes District find a way forward — with free, confidential and impartial advice on the issues that matter most.

1,883 Calls Answered 

Our trained advisers provided trusted guidance and direction to nearly 2,000 people seeking help by phone.

Over £500,000

Through advice, casework and advocacy, we improved the financial wellbeing of hundreds of households -  securing over £500,000 in income gains and debt relief, helping people access what they’re entitled to and regain control of their finances.
