Bringing Advice and Support Closer to Local Communities

Since launching the Crisis & Resilience Fund advice project, Lewes District Citizens Advice has been developing new ways to ensure people can access the help they need before financial difficulties become crises.
As the cost of living continues to put pressure on many households, we know that timely information, advice and support can make a real difference. That's why we're taking our services beyond our offices and into the heart of local communities.

Reaching People Where They Are
We recognise that visiting an advice office isn't always possible for everyone. Through the Crisis & Resilience Fund project, we're working alongside local partners to provide support in community settings across the district.
Our advisers are now delivering services from a range of locations, including Family Hubs, Retirement homes, Foodbanks and Community venues and outreach locations.
By working alongside trusted local organisations, we're helping to reduce barriers to advice and ensure support reaches people who might not otherwise seek help.
Preventing Hardship Before It Escalates
The aim of the Crisis & Resilience Fund project is not only to respond to crises but to build resilience. By providing early advice, practical support and access to the right services, we can help people improve their financial wellbeing, strengthen household resilience and prevent problems from escalating.
