Demand for our services has never been higher and we are looking for volunteers to help us provide much needed support to our local community.
As a local, independent charity we rely on our fantastic, friendly, dedicated team of volunteers to help us deliver our services. The Cost of Living Crisis has seen demand for our range of support, information and advice services soar and it is showing no signs of slowing down. The work is rewarding giving a real sense of satisfaction and achievement at having helped local residents overcome the problems they face. The social aspect is an important one for many of our volunteers, who, although they come from all walks of life and are at different stages in their lives and careers, are united by a sense of commitment to their local community and a desire to help the most vulnerable members of society. Furthermore, experience with Citizens Advice also boosts employability, setting our volunteers apart from their peers in future steps in their career paths.
We have a range of roles available and are seeking to recruit:
Trustees, particularly a trustee with the passion and drive to lead on our Research and Campaigns work
Book-keeper
Advisers, who receive full training to deliver advice & information across our diverse advice areas
Community Events Co-ordinator
Marketing & Communications Co-ordinator
