One of our amazing volunteer advisers, Sharmila Bayliss, is fundraising for Lewes District Citizens Advice
Sharmila started volunteering with us at Lewes District Citizens Advice two years ago, she is very committed to helping the people in our community and is a huge asset to our team.
Sharmila always goes above and beyond helping clients, she is now going to extreme heights to support them! After trekking across the Sahara last year, she did say ' Never again!', however, luckily for Lewes District Citizens Advice and all the local people we support, Sharmila is now set to trek 5,500 meters to Base Camp Everest, the foot of the world's highest peak for 11 days to raise money for Lewes District Citizens Advice Charity on 29th March 2025.
We are a small, local, independent charity, (RCN 1068146) that is embedded within its community. Most people think we are funded by the Government but that is not the case at all. LDCA, must raise all their income to run the charity and are a paid member of the National Citizens Advice Association. In 2023 LDCA helped 1800 clients with 6423 differing issues through the delivery of advice work during a national Cost of Living crisis. We are so very grateful to have Sharmila fundraise for us and hope you can support her fundraising challenge.
Please take a moment to read Sharmila's story on her Just Giving page and donate any amount you can, every donation received will help LDCA empower and support clients to find a way forward with their problems. Donations can also be made using the QR code below.
